As a result to Francis Ford Coppola’s timeless trilogy masterpiece from 1972 “the godfather”, video games were made to various consoles, such as the Playstation2, PS3 and XBOX360. The video game “Godfather 2” is one of the newest & greatest games there are nowadays. It was released in April 7th 2009 and offers a mind-blowing high quality game play as a single player, or alternatively in multiplayer mode online.
Throughout the game you get a chance to see great clips from the original movie, like the unforgettable movie scene where Al Pacino's character Michael kissed his brother Fredo and said:” I know it was you”. “The godfather 2” game also offers Impressive and upgradeable arsenal of weapons for your choice. Whenever you get tired of the same old boring machine gun or rifle, you can perform missions that require the use of a rocket launcher, a Molotov cocktail and other weapons.
However, there are some glitches and bugs in the game play, as if the studios rushed the developers to finish and release the game in stores nationwide in time for Halloween. Firstly, there’s the uninspired and repetitive game play. It’s almost like the developers tried to create the movie again, but as a video game. There weren’t any new dialogues between the characters, or new out-of-this-world missions. Still, that doesn’t mean that it wasn’t fun completing the missions or listening to the dialogues (that most of them were dubbed by the original characters from the movie).
Another thing that had to be fixed before the release is that the Crew members are unbelievably stupid. When they're not failing to get into cars with you or running rings around one another at superhuman speeds, your guys can often be observed wandering off in the wrong direction or just remaining stationary while appearing to ponder their next step. The multiplayer modes and maps were poorly designed for up to 16 players include Team Deathmatch, Demolition Assault, FireStarter, Don Mode and Safecracker.
To summarize this “God father 2” video game review, I can say that the game still has a lot to work on and improve, especially regarding the game play and online gaming, but I strongly recommend that you buy this game and enjoy it!
